</did><scopecontent><p> <emph render="bold">DESCRIPTION:</emph>   Plaintiffs indexes provide name access to the REGISTERS OF ACTION created by the City Court.  Handwritten entries were recorded in columns in separately numbered volumes, with separate columns for date, plaintiff, defendant, and case number.  Personal names entered in the plaintiffs column are entered, surname first; defendants are entered in natural order. given name first.

<arrangement><p> <emph render="bold">ARRANGEMENT:</emph>   Arrangement is chronological, thereunder alphabetical by first two letters of the last name entered on separate pages created for each letter combination.  Complete alphabetization was not attempted beyond the first two letters, and cases were entered onto the proper page as they were filed.

</add><admininfo><processinfo><p><emph render="bold">PROCESSING NOTE:</emph>    The series was transferred to the Utah State Archives in 1968.  A permanent retention was assigned to all volumes in 1983.  The bound volumes were destroyed after microfilming in 1993.  Archival processing was completed in 1994 by Steven R Wood.
