DESCRIPTION: This series documents the purchase of burial plots in the Brigham City Cemetery. Each deed records the name of the purchaser, the plot location, and the purchase price. Records of deed transfers and burial permits are occasionally interfiled in the books.
ARRANGEMENT: Chronological by recording date.
RELATED RECORDS: Series 22072, INTERMENT REGISTERS, lists the burials for the plots recorded in the deed books.
FINDING AIDS: Each volume begins with an alphabetical name index arranged by the first letter of the purchaser's last name.
CUSTODY HISTORY: By 1963 these records were being stored at the City Cemetery office, and many were destroyed by a fire that occurred in that office in October of 1963.
PROCESSING NOTE: This series was filmed in 1978. Archival processing was completed by Arlene Schmuland in August 1999.
GAPS IN THE SERIES: Books D through I, 1905–1963, were destroyed by a fire at the City Cemetery office that occurred 15 October, 1963.
