Series 83622

DIVISION OF ADMINISTRATIVE RULES [29]

UTAH STATE DIGEST, 1985-[ongoing]
2 cu. ft.

A separate agency history is available.

DESCRIPTION: The Digest summarizes the contents of the concurrent Utah State Bulletin. The Digest is designed to keep the recipient continually informed about important administrative actions in the executive branch of State government, listing recent Governor's proclamations and executive orders, Attorney General opinions, notices of public hearings, new state publications and other information, all usually printed in full text in the Bulletin. The bulk of the Digest consists of proposed administrative rules, temporary "emergency" rules, rules being reviewed, and the effective dates of rules listed as proposed in an earlier issue. Each listing includes the Division of Administrative Rules file number, short title, brief summary, cost impact statement, and the time and place of a public hearing (if any). The temporary rules listings include date of expiration. Effective dates of earlier published rules include the file number, short title, and date only.

Beginning in September 2001, the agency discontinued the paper format and began publishing this series in electronic format only. The electronic format is available through the agency webpage.

ARRANGEMENT: These publications are arranged chronologically by date of issue.

RESEARCH NOTE: Rules are divided into four categories: proposed rules, temporary rules, rules under review, and earlier-proposed rules which are now being assigned effective dates. Each category is organized alphabetically by department, division, and agency name.

RELATED RECORDS: Series 83311, UTAH STATE BULLETIN, is the publication from which the information in the Digest is taken. Series 7192, ADMINISTRATIVE RULES FILES contains the full text of the rules as well as other supporting documentation related to the creation of the rules.

PROCESSING NOTE: This series was processed by A. B. Schmuland in March 2001.

PREFERRED CITATION: Cite the Utah State Archives and Records Service, the creating agency name, the series title, and the series number.

GAPS: A number of volumes are not in the Archives holdings but may still be with the agency. See the container list for details.
