DESCRIPTION: The Brigham City council kept an index to subjects discussed by the council. The index identifies the date each subject was discussed, the nature of proceedings, and sometimes names interested parties. The index gives a book and page number where an account of the discussion was recorded in the minutes.

ARRANGEMENT: The Brigham City council proceedings index is arranged by subject. Under each topic entries are generally in chronological order.

RESEARCH NOTE: Occasionally the recorder ran out of space in the pages designated for a particular topic and carried entries forward on some other page in the book. Continuations are well marked.

RELATED RECORDS: This index provides reference to subjects discussed by the Brigham City Council. Council MINUTES are series 3803. It indirectly serves as a reference for city ORDINANCES, series 3662.

FINDING AIDS: At the top of each page in this index there is an alphabetical list of subjects included therein. Each subject listing includes the page number on which entries for that subject begin.
