DESCRIPTION: The volumes in this series document deaths and burials for persons buried in the Fillmore City Cemetery. Ledger columns vary between volumes but may include the line numer, name of the deceased, date of death, age, cause of death, place of birth, date of birth, gender, parents' names, physician or nurse, grave location, race, color, last place of residency, term of residence, marital status, and occupation. The first volume also includes a survey map of the cemetery as well as a record of lot ownership which includes the name of the purchaser, the location of the grave, the date of the sale and the payment amount. Ownership records are entered by date of sale.

ARRANGEMENT: Roughly chronological by date of death.

RELATED RECORDS: Series 12392, BURIAL RECORDS INDEX, contains some of the same information primarily for the years after 1936.

FINDING AIDS: Series 12392, BURIAL RECORDS INDEX, is in alphabetical order by the last name of the deceased and contains a reference to the volume and line numbers of this series.

PROCESSING NOTE: This series was filmed in 1993. Archival processing was completed by Arlene Schmuland in August 1999.

GAPS IN THE SERIES: Volumes 3 and following are not in the Archives holdings. There is also a gap of approximately seven months between volumes 1 and 2.
