Series 10372

SPANISH FORK (UTAH) [892]

INTERMENT REGISTERS, 1853-[ongoing]

While some records are in the custody of the Utah State Archives, more recent records may still be with the creating agency.

DESCRIPTION: This series contains a number of volumes of interment registers for the Spanish Fork City Cemetery. Register formats differ between volumes: most include columns for the name of the deceased, date and place of birth, parents' names, marital status, date and place of death, cause of death, and location of grave. A few entries in the first volume predate burial in the City Cemetery; those individuals are listed as buried in the Old Palmyra graveyard.

ARRANGEMENT: The volumes are in no particular order. The entries within the volumes are arranged chronologically.

RESEARCH NOTE: Only one volume, the one spanning 1898-1925, contains an index. All volumes are in rough chronological order and can be searched by date.

RELATED RECORDS: Series 84799, CEMETERY DEED REGISTERS, contains ownership records for the graves in the cemetery.

PROCESSING NOTE: This series was processed by Arlene Schmuland in December 2000.

PREFERRED CITATION: Cite the Utah State Archives and Records Service, the creating agency name, the series title, and the series number.
